Where have all the Christmas lights gone?

Since (do I dare say...Halloween) my town has been lite up like a ... well...Christmas tree. Each house outdid the next in elaborate lighting displays. Our poor home has a meager strand of lights that I know my husband fought so hard against the temptation to upgrade. But driving home from a violin lesson and tae kwon do, I noticed that there were NO lights (except ours). Dark, dismal, bleak. It was so sad...don't people KNOW that Christmas is NOW? We still have a couple days left of the season. Merry Christmas!!!
